Eligibility Requirements
Protection is automatically extended to all Eagle members in good standing and their families. To receive benefits from the Foundation, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be the child (including stepchildren and legally adopted children) of an Eagle member who died from injuries sustained at their place of employment or while on active duty in the armed forces.
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) for educational grants.
- Be under the age of 25 for educational assistance or under 18 for medical assistance.
- Be unmarried and non-self-supporting.
Educational Grants and Scholarships
The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that the children of fallen members can pursue their academic and professional goals without overwhelming financial burden.
- Funding Limits: Provides up to $30,000 total in lifetime assistance, with a maximum of $6,000 per school year.
- Usage: Grants cover "gaps" not met by other financial aid, including tuition, fees, books, and course-related materials.
- Programs: Support is available for vocational schools, colleges, and universities, including specialized fields like business, beauty, or nursing.
